Natural Resources Department coordinates several sectors in the District that include; Environment, Wetlands, Forestry Physical Planning, Lands and surveying. The Department is mandated to coordinator all the line sectors mentioned above and enforces the implementation of National Policies, Regulations and council byelaws on sustainable exploitation of natural resources.
All these ultimately target the District Vision of eliminating poverty by building a strong self sustaining local economy by 2040.
