Natural resources Department is a directorate of different sectors in Kalungu District coordinating Lands Management, Surveying, Physical Planning, Forestry, Environment and Wetlands.
The department has a mandate of enforcing the implementation of National Policies, Regulations and council bye-laws on sustainable exploitation of natural resources. It also exists to manage orderly, lawful and sustainable land development in the District. However, a sustainable use of natural resources calls for the influence and involvement of all stakeholders including the local population utilizing the resources.
