The Bishop of the Western Buganda Diocese, Rt. Rev. Gaster Nsereko, visited Kalungu District Local Government Headquarters on 18 August 2026, where he held engagements with district leadership and toured key facilities.

Bishop Nsereko was hosted by the Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Ouma Charles, who welcomed him to the District Headquarters during a breakfast engagement. The Bishop later participated in a Mass held in the newly refurbished District Council Hall.

During his visit, Bishop Nsereko also toured the new District Administration Block, where he inspected the facility and appreciated the quality of the workmanship and improvements being made to the District's infrastructure.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Bishop and District leadership to strengthen relations and reflect on the importance of collaboration in supporting the wellbeing and development of communities in Kalungu.

District Local Government continues to invest in improved infrastructure and a conducive working environment to strengthen public service delivery and ensure that government services are effectively delivered to the people of Kalungu.
